French Knots & Exhibition Catalogue
So...scratch the thing I showed the other day. It just wasn't what I wanted. (Still working on the hair topic) I'm shifting gears back to some embroidery (possibly mixed with printmaking again). Meet the french knot! She's a beaut once you figure it out. I like how textured it looks, it definitely resembles hair a bit when bunched together.

earrings are invisible against the tulips, and the stand they're hanging from is a distraction.

would also suggest different races/skin colors, too.
incidentally, ears are said to be erogenous zones.
there's a nice expression for ear-shaped decorative designs, rococo/baroque styles — auricular.
